The work

An array is only half of it.

The panels are the visible part. The half that decides whether the system passes and performs sits between the array and the meter.

Solar photovoltaic design and installation is the newest service on the list, added because more people along this shore started asking for it.

A solar install is two jobs stacked together. There is the array and its mounting, and then there is everything between the array and the utility: the disconnects, the grounding, the service capacity, the metering and the paperwork. That second half is ordinary electrical work, which is why it stays in house instead of going to a second contractor.

  • 01DesignLoad, roof or ground layout, orientation and shading worked through before anything is ordered, so the system is sized to the building rather than to a catalogue.
  • 02Grid tieSystems that run alongside the utility supply, with the interconnection and metering handled as part of the same job.
  • 03Off gridStandalone systems for camps, outbuildings and properties where bringing in a service would cost more than the array.
  • 04The electrical halfService and panel upgrades, disconnects, grounding and bonding, and the permits and inspection, all under one contractor.
